Top 10 Random Thoughts for the Week of 12/01/05

10. This is an active month for the Gill household. Olan’s birthday is the 14th, our anniversary is the 18th, my birthday is the 19th, my mother’s birthday is the 18th, and my brother’s birthday is the 12th. Thank the Lord for fruitcake baskets

9. Cassidy is now sleeping in her own bed…YYYAAAAAYYYY!!!!! I love my little girl, but she is a wild sleeper

8. Corbin looks just like Ally. The young ladies in his school will have it bad

7. If I could have the opportunity to come back and live my life again as a teen-ager, I would come back as Sylvan Pinu. He’s like me as a kid, but with more biblical literacy, better looking, better coordination, smarter, ….you get the picture

6. The Chicago Bears are 8-3, with the number one defense in the NFL. Eat your hearts out Falcons fans

5. I spent Thanksgiving with my family members….some of them actually have a personality. The food was good, the desserts were….gooder. I kept one hand on the TV remote and the other hand on a turkey leg

4. I’ve been studying for the LSAT, and it is one sick test. It’s got logic and crazy stuff like that in it. Only mutants like……John Darden, Gracie Wright or Tami could figure out the stuff on that friggin’ test. Oh well, that’s why they make Cliff Notes……… *Update* You mean to tell me there aren’t any Cliff Notes for the LSAT??!!!!

3. Going to Orlando with Tami and Olan for a week on the 16th. Woo-Hoo. We’ll ride roller-coasters, stay up late and watch movies, drink lots of milkshakes and give each other the “Dutch-Oven” treatment, eat cotton candy, and aahhh…..oh yeah. We’ll find something for Tami to do too since she is coming with us

2. If you can’t even make it through the sentence “Hey you…pull my finger”….maybe it’s time to quit while you’re ahead

1. My basic training drill instructor once asked me if I agreed with his opinion that I was a “degenerate, purse snatching, worthless *&@#*^&, douche-bag piece of $&%#”. My response was “No Staff Saergant ____, I do not”. He asked “Why is that sweetheart?”. I said “I’ve never snatched a purse before in my life”

I'm going to bite off of Sport's Illustrated Columnist Peter King, and start a blog post called Random Thoughts. Because I'm about as random as the United States Tax Code (The least random concept in creation), I will be attempting to walk on the wild side.

Ahem.....

Random Thoughts 11/18/05

10. Danny Diaz (Double D), Joel and I will tame the Dueling Dragons at Universal Islands of Adventure in 2007. Put money on it!

9. HS Greenville 2005, was the best one ever. Instead of people having little group hug/cry fests as in past years, people were trully seekeing The Lord and fellowshipping. AND THERE WERE NO VISIBLE SIGNS OF CLIQUES. COMPLETELY AWESOME!!!

8. The Mount Paran SLC kids are not only my students, they're my family

7. I'm proud I got the opportunity to minister to/watch grow into young men all of the young men in the ministry

6. My ideal Satruday is sitting in the living room, lying on the couch with Cass, while watching college football, while Olan wrecks the living room, while Tami surfs the net sitting in the chair across from the couch

5. The Chicago Bears will make the playoffs this year.... or at least come real close anyway http://www.chicagobears.com/

4. I like teaching with Mike Owens...I think we are kindred spirits in most ways

3. I'm taking the LSAT (Law School Admission test) in February. I hope I don't completely choke and blow chunks on the test

2. I suck at being random. If you really want to see random thoughts....read Ashley Wilson's blog

1. Never tell someone to pull your finger.........after drinking a large milkshake *Disclaimer* That is what someone told me

I'm back...and I'm still bald and beautiful. After a heavy layoff, my Xanga is back in effect. I can't wait for HS Greenville. It will be Tami and I's first retreat that she hasn't been pregnant. I'm not complaining...I'm just sayin'.

The Chicago Bears and Notre Dame will lose in the same weekend. That hasn't happened since....last month..
